What you'll study: Core coursework provides foundational knowledge in kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology and much more. Expert faculty members teach you motor learning, exercise prescription with a lab, along with strength and conditioning and adapted physical education. Your courses and internships are directly applicable to the work setting. How you'll learn more: The exercise science major gives students the opportunity to explore the movement sciences and directly apply practical skills. Students will have challenging and rewarding practicum experiences with a physically active population, such as sports performance clinics, fitness centers, the Special Olympics, hospital settings, and NSU's strength and conditioning centers. Where it can take you: Graduates in sport science will be ready to work as an exercise specialist, fitness and wellness coordinator, sport performance researcher, and strength and conditioning specialist. Become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or pursue similar certifications.
