Marketing is an exciting field of study and a critical component to any successful business enterprise. A well-executed marketing strategy focuses on an organization's product or service offerings, the value that can be derived from them, market access to them and how the brand value is communicated to potential clients and customers. Our marketing students learn about all of these components through case studies, team-based projects and other professor-guided activities. The coursework for marketing majors includes consumer behavior, integrated marketing communications, marketing research, channels of distribution, international marketing, and sales communications, which offers a full array of marketing perspectives to prepare our students for a career in marketing. Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in marketing through internships with business partners in the Western New York area. The Niagara University Marketing Association (NUMA) also offers many opportunities to work with businesses and other entities to gain marketing experience. Check out the video of "A Day in the Life of an NU Marketing student" produced by NUMA. The marketing faculty is a seasoned team that develops relationships with students and works to insure that our graduates are best prepared to enter the job market. Marketing Concentrations Students may choose to concentrate in either (1) marketing or (2) food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing. The marketing concentration is the traditional concentration for students interested in marketing. The food and CGP marketing concentration is for students who wish to focus exciting opportunities in the food sector. Learn more about this exciting, new concentration. Mission Guided by the College of Business Administration mission, the undergraduate program creates and disseminates knowledge, fosters rich learning experiences, empowers student achievement, and inspires professional engagement in the global society. Student Learning Outcomes To help achieve our mission, the following undergraduate student learning outcomes have been established: Graduates will have effective written communication skills.
