Department of Psychology at İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University has set out with a qualified program, including the theoretical and practical areas of psychology, in line with the Bologna criteria. The medium of instruction is Turkish. The students have the opportunity to integrate their knowledge in psychology with other social sciences, to gain multidisciplinary perspective. In our four-year program we aim:
- to equip students with: analytical and critical skills;
- to provide theoretical knowledge and professional skills in order to help the students to specialize in various sub-branches of psychology (clinical, developmental, industrial and organizational, social, health, learning, forensic, sports, educational psychology, neuropsychology);
- to encouraged students to take part in various social responsibility projects and to do internship for theoretical and experiential background by cooperating with İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl, Faculty of Medicine;
- to educate students to have professional ethics, social responsibility, scientific research curiosity and an eagerness to follow the developments in their fields;
- to motivate our students to be sensitive to social problems and interpersonal relationships.
