The Didactics of Physics is a discipline that is responsible for finding more convenient ways to teach physics (at all educational levels and in all its branches), since it is a science that is a bit confusing due to its definitions and requires mathematical tools to the modeling of many of the phenomena that are presented in it, causes disinterest in students to learn it, to this problem is added the inadequate way of teaching it, increasing the degree of disinterest due to the misunderstanding of what is taught. To change this situation and improve the level of understanding of the concepts, physics education studies the languages of this science.
Physics Didactics then consists of the study of theories and methods aimed at causing Physics students to achieve an understanding of physical phenomena and to be able to describe them in a way that can be generalized and solved. For this, the student has to develop several skills to achieve his goal, and the physics didactics is in charge of generating these skills, studying the learning processes and determining which is the appropriate model for a certain group, which causes the student to can form correct and pertinent images of the phenomenon, which will demonstrate the high level of abstraction achieved by it, in addition, it will facilitate the way of expressing what is understood of the phenomenon, using the appropriate language.
In particular, in the Postgraduate in Educational Physics, the Didactics of Physics is addressed as a Line of Generation and Application of Knowledge of Educational Physics, in which to achieve the goals mentioned in the previous paragraphs, it studies topics such as Curriculum Design, Educational Methodologies, Experimental Didactics, Teacher Training and Neuroeducation, among others.
