By virtue of the School's three streams, and its east-west educational, cultural and artistic nexus, the programme is unique among dance conservatoires around the world.
Students have the opportunity to develop not only the skills and attributes needed to become professional dance artists, but also a deeper understanding of their art form, its relationship to other disciplines - and to the world beyond.
In reflecting the demands of the profession/industry, the programme includes preparation not only for company-based careers, but also for freelance, multiple-portfolio careers, with a consequent emphasis on the development of independence, initiative, creativity, versatility, adaptability, and a wide range of interconnected, transferable knowledge and skills.
