Bachelor of Science in Design

A designer's mind and hand shapes, structures and supports the physical and aesthetic attributes of all the products around us. As our world changes, designers must observe ​carefully and react with solutions that can inhabit, influence and further shape it. The Bachelor of Science in Design will provide students with a strong foundation in the principles, concepts, processes and practices of design; giving them the skills they need to play a meaningful role in today's design world. The program offers two areas of concentration: interior design and product design. While interior designers help make indoor spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements, and selecting essential and decorative items like colors, lighting and materials, product designers help successfully brand products by optimizing the users experience through the solutions they innovate and  sustaining the long-term business goals at the same time.

The program, which is 133 credit hours spanning over 4 years,  is nationally accredited by NCAAA.   At the early years of the students' academic journey at Bachelor of Science in Design, they take General Education Program (GEP), attributed to the Liberal Arts – American style education. The (GEP) covers arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and technological studies to help you gain insight into varied critical learning skills, investigate essential branches of knowledge, and develop appreciation of diversity and change across time, culture, and national boundaries.​​
