For 30 years, the Escuela Superior de Enseñanzas Técnicas has set itself the goal of training designers capable of facing challenges, offering products and services that make it possible to understand social needs, capable of integrating into the productive and business dynamics in the search for innovation, capable of understanding the market as something alive, changing and sometimes uncertain.

ESET has trained great professionals such as Héctor Serrano, Miguel Herranz, Joaquín García, Alberto Cienfuegos, Inma Bermúdez, Xavi Calvo (Menta Studio), José Aranda, Paula Aloy and Carlos Velasco (Enblanc), Clara del Portillo (Yonoh), Nacho Carbonell, among many others.

The value of studying the Master's Degree in Product Design lies in the differentiation of the focus on training, strongly linked to professionals and professional activity. A training that allows the student to develop projects in each of the areas of action of product design, placing the student directly in the labor and professional market, fundamentally through contact with active professionals and the business network throughout of his training.

The Master's Degree in Product Design has professors such as: Yonoh, Héctor Serrano, Odosdesign, Eli Gutierrez, Enblanc, Marcelo Alegre, Luis Eslava, Emma Laurin, among others. In addition, many of the projects are developed by the teachers with agreements with large companies such as Ikea, Arkos Light, Royo Group, Mad Lab, etc.

Designing today is a complex process of integrating knowledge and experience, knowledge and culture, technology and psychology, which allows decisions to be made to create objects, spaces and services close to people. A process that aims to serve society. And at the same time, a process that aims to serve the productive and business sectors that "need" to innovate in their products and services to serve an increasingly complex, globalized and competitive market.

4. Conferences and professional meetings

Among the activities developed in the master's degree, it is worth highlighting Design Works, a week of workshops and talks on service design, design thinking... and where the projects carried out during the first quarter are exhibited. Visits to the studios of Mario Ruiz in Barcelona and Stone Designs in Madrid .

Participation in the Ventura Future exhibition in Milan with the projects developed in the first half of the master.

Finally, in September we also participated in the NUDE show, an annual meeting between new designers, design schools, businessmen and the media. A space for young designers that is part of the Habitat Valencia Fair .

5. Valencia, capital of design

Valencia has been chosen World Design Capital for the year 2022 by the World Design Organization (WDO) ™. Hundreds of conferences, workshops and industry meetings have made us the new decision-making center for world design, and a veritable incubator for the most experimental design.

From the beginning, at the Escuela Superior de Enseñanzas Técnicas we have joined the project with an active role in its development. Because we have been pioneers, for 30 years, in university training in Design. Because we do not believe in the teachings of the past, but rather in training 360º designers: people who know how to design, produce, communicate and who have values. Because that's how we build design culture day by day.
