The program is having two tracks, thesis (24 credit hours of taught courses in addition to 9 credit hours of thesis) and comprehensive exam (33 credit hours of taught courses in addition to a comprehensive final exam.). The courses taught in the program cover advanced areas of the corner stone fields of the pharmaceutical sciences. It includes Advanced Physical Pharmacy, Advanced Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Advenced Methods in Drug Analysis and Identification, Advanced Methods in Drug Delivery, Advanced Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Advanced Research Methodology, Seminar, Advanced Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Advanced Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and a wide range of other advanced elective courses. Students can conduct their thesis research project in the areas of cancer biology and therapeutics, clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical technology and drug delivery, phytochemistry and drug design and analysis, and pharmacy education. Considering these factors, the Faculty of Pharmacy became a successful model in the diverse fields of scientific pharmaceutical research.
