The department Educates, trains and graduates specialized pharmacists by teaching them the pharma - sciences and other auxiliary sciences. Pharmacology, for example, focuses on medications uses and adverse effects. It also focuses on what drugs do in the human body and what the human body does with the drug. Medicinal chemistry courses teach how to modify the chemical composition of drugs to increase effectiveness or reduce harm. Students also study other auxiliary sciences such as statistics, physics, scientific research methods and others. Iinternship hours in a medical centre or a pharmacy is another requirement for graduation.
