About Alasmarya Islamic University

Alasmarya Islamic University (AIU) is one of the Libyan public universities which is affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Libya.  it is distinguished Islamic university in the field of higher education and scientific research in Islamic, humanitarian, Medical and applied sciences that effectively contributes to the promotion of social peace and the creation of sustainable national development. Admission requirements vary according to the program of interest and the student's grades in secondary school. For medical and applied science bachelor's degrees (BSc), a minimum grade average of 85% is required. These include fields such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, and engineering. Maintaining high academic standards is crucial for these technically demanding programs that require excellent analytical abilities. Other applied science bachelor's degrees (BSc) requiring a 75% average for admission include programs in information technology, mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, and biology. While somewhat less intensive than medical streams, these disciplines still necessitate a strong foundation in relevant sciences. For humanities bachelor's degree (BA) programs or social sciences bachelor's degrees, students must have achieved a minimum grade average of 65% at the secondary school level. Disciplines falling under this category range from education and psychology to languages, history, journalism and media studies.
