The PEPS course trains students to master the entire environmental chain associated with pollution of an anthropogenic nature (air, water, waste). At the end of the training, the students know how to identify the different types of pollutants, their sources and the physicochemical processes involved in their transport or transformation. They can model and simulate environmental problems and carry out impact or hazard studies. They can also synthesize and analyze environmental data using predictive and decision-making statistical techniques.

The color chosen (IEE, T&D or RIE) then allows them to acquire even more specific skills. In the "upstream" RIE approach, they are able to identify, quantify and prevent environmental and industrial risks. According to the "downstream" T&D approach, they can implement solutions aimed at preventing, evaluating and remedying environmental pollution problems, based on knowledge in basic sciences (fundamental and applied physics, chemistry, process engineering ). The last more "transversal" approach IEE allows them to develop and organize research, studies, tests, measurements and analyzes related to the pollution of natural environments.
