In its current guise, the Master’s degree in Legal Practice has developed in response to the requirements of the Law 34/2006 of 30 October regulating access to the professions of lawyer and court procedural representative (procurador), a legal reform that was taken as an opportunity to structure a postgraduate program that will improve training of law graduates thus facilitating access to the job market. In turn, the Master's in Telecommunications, Data Protection, Audiovisual and Information Society Law is the first course as an official master's degree based on the experience gained over fourteen academic years  as a university master's degree which have made it a benchmark for training the best specialists in the sector.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid offers programs in Economics and Business, Engineering, Law, Communication, Social Sciences and Humanities. Most bachelor degrees in Engineering have been awarded the EUR-ACE quality certificate.

More than 71% of the degree courses offered can be taken either fully in English, or with option in English or with a bilingual option.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) offers 159 master programs and 20 doctoral programs in the varying fields of investigative research ongoing at the University. Over 40% are taught in English. 

The programs are organized into four Schools, encompassing the areas of Law; Business and Economics; Humanities, Communication and Social Sciences; and Engineering and Basis Sciences. The Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus, home to the bulk of the master programs, is located in the cultural and historic heart of Madrid, one of Europe’s great capital cities.  

A total of 27.3% of the students enrolled in the master programs hail from other countries, drawn by the prospect of pursuing studies in English at an international campus in Madrid.  Among doctoral candidates, the percentage of international students reaches 44.8%.
