1. We train and enable specialists

The knowledge acquired during the degree is insufficient to be able to diagnose, plan and carry out the most basic of orthodontic treatments.

Today, orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics is recognized by all as a specialty of odontostomatology with sufficient specific characteristics so that professionals who wish to practice it with seriousness, responsibility and scientific and clinical rigor must dedicate deep and prolonged periods of their training in the study and development of preclinical and clinical practical activities, controlled and guided by competent and qualified teachers. Our Master trains and enables you to be a specialist in Orthodontics.

Objectives:

  • Train dentists, stomatologists or graduates in dentistry, so that they are specialists in Orthodontics and Dentomaxillary Orthopedics, with a solid and extensive theoretical training in the different methods of taking records, analysis, diagnosis, planning and treatment.
  • Possess a solid base in biomedicine, anatomy, physiology, histology and oral-cranio-facial biomechanics.
  • Analyze with a critical spirit, based on reasoning, the scientific works published and selected in relation to each thematic unit to acquire useful knowledge based on the evidence and with subsequent practical application.
  • Safely and confidently apply the knowledge acquired in the simulated practical activities in typodont.
  • Know and handle the analog and digital tools necessary for clinical analysis and diagnosis in orthodontics and dentomaxillary orthopedics.
  • Design and make each of the appliances that will later be used in the typodont and in the clinic.
  • Know in detail the most modern and avant-garde philosophies, techniques and equipment, in addition to perfectly mastering the art of the oldest, which were basic for the development of the first.
  • Possess firm and integrating criteria, to make differential diagnoses and logical and coherent treatment plans, with an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Communicate and work integrated in an interdisciplinary team of specialists.
