Law 34/2006, of October 30, regulating access to the professions of lawyer and court attorney, introduced in our legal system the requirement of additional professional training to the university prior to enrollment in the corresponding professional association.

This additional training will consist of taking an entrance exam (qualification exam), after passing 60 ECTS credits from training courses accredited by the Ministry of Justice and 30 ECTS credits from supervised internships.

With a view to adapting to the new regulatory framework for law education and preparation for the practice of the legal profession, the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU offers this additional training required by law as a professionalizing master's degree, integrating within theoretical teaching both the subjects directly related to the exercise of the profession and the transversal subjects of special importance (such as ethics, negotiation and training in the values of equality and respect for human rights).

With the Master's Degree in Law, the Expert Diploma in Economic Criminal Law delves into this specialty within criminal law, whose elaboration is not limited to the development and study of crimes considered economic, but has also been extended to methodological aspects: the extension of economic criminal law, its conceptual basis, the technical and theoretical development on aspects of the general part of economic criminal law, the extent to which the criminal sanction extends to behaviors that imply the infringement of essential norms in economic life, and especially in the responsibility of the company with respect to the market and the administration, and in the responsibility of those who have duties of fidelity with respect to the interests of the same company.
