Are you eager to work on solutions for a more sustainable use and management of land and water? Then consider opting for the BSc programme International Land and Water Management! This programme addresses problems of drought, erosion and floods, which put food production at risk in large parts of the world. You will combine knowledge of engineering, social and natural sciences, study the roles of various stakeholders and design land and water management improvement plans. The area of research covers the whole world.

  • Third year bachelor’s students do an international internship and research project of their choice.

General admission requirements

  • Be in possession of a secondary school leaving certificate ( a Dutch ‘vwo-diploma’ ) or an equivalent to the Dutch pre-university diploma , and;
  • Have studied certain subjects (at the required level) relevant to the programme you are applying for, and;
  • Meet the English language requirements .
  • For Dutch taught programmes you also have to meet the Dutch language requirements .

General admission requirements

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a field of science relevant to your selected programme.
  • Sufficient quality of the bachelor's degree as shown by an average unweighted mark of at least 7 (Dutch system), a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least B/B+ (US system) or a classification as 2nd upper (UK system). If there is no GPA stated on your transcript an unweighted grade point average will be calculated.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
