Admission requirements

Undergraduate

7+
An upper-second-class (2:1) degree in a related field is required. Related fields include health, medical, sports and biomedical sciences. Science-based degrees such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry and physiology will be considered. Other degrees may be considered on an individual basis. In addition to the above, candidates are required to have gained practical experience relating to Physiotherapy, such as shadowing, work placements or healthcare work experience.

We accept a wide range of internationally recognised qualifications. As a general guide, most of our undergraduate programmes accept one of the following.

  • A recognised and relevant foundation/Access course (minimum pass mark for a UK-based foundation programme is usually 55%)
  • High School Diploma (to age 18) where it is deemed equivalent to A Levels (3 A Level passes at BCC/CCC)
  • An International Baccalaureate (28 points)

As a general guide, for postgraduate study you'll need to hold the equivalent of a good honours degree (a 2:1 or 2:2 depending on the course) from a recognised university.

We also accept applications from students who have completed a 'top-up' degree at a UK university. If you hold a UK degree you don't need to provide an IELTS or other English language test certificate.
