Yenepoya (Deemed to be University); Yenepoya University

Yenepoya University is a 'Deemed to be University' recognized by the University Grants Commission, Govt. of India and is accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) with A grade (3.14 CGPA). it is located in the green suburban locality of Mangalore, Karnataka, India, comprising 4 constituent colleges; Yenepoya Dental, Medical, Nursing, Physiotherapy under its ambit. The other 4 colleges; Yenepoya Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Pharmacy, Arts-Science-Commerce and Management are functioning only from 2017-18. Currently, there are around 3000 students enrolled in the campus, to various health-Sciences courses offered by the University (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Post-Doctoral, PhD, Diploma and Certificate Courses).

The University has established collaborations with various institutions in India and abroad for the lateral exchange of knowledge. Ina short span of 10 years after being established as a Deemed to be University, this institution has published more than 1,500 research papers credited with 40 patents and two technology transfers using in house facilities and has successfully started 5 startups. The University offers PhD program in health sciences under which already 77 PhD degrees were awarded. The university has taken several steps in the establishment of modern facilities of international standards on the campus for the holistic development of students. The campus houses state-of-the-art research centres with facilities for proteomics, genomics, studies, stem cell and regenerative medicine, nanomedicine, biotechnology research, advanced comprehensive clinical simulation and training centre, robotic surgery centre, Indoor sports complex apart from a mechanized central kitchen, mechanized laundry, international hostels with prefabricated structural materials etc. All the above facilities stand as an eloquent testimony to University's commitment to education, research and social health. The University offers fellowships and scholarships for meritorious and deserving students.

The University campus is always vibrant with academic activities by organizing scientific events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, CME, quiz competitions and the like. Innovative teaching and learning practices are encouraged and practised. The University follows a policy of zero tolerance towards ragging, discrimination and sexual harassment. A mechanism to ensure constant interaction and dialogue, mutual trust and teamwork among all the stakeholders is in place.
