University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan

With a marvelous history of 143 years of excellence, the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore is ranked among top ten Universities of Pakistan. It is the oldest institution of the Asia, it was originally established as a school in 1882 and later on it was transformed into a College within next two decades, i.e. end of nineteenth century. The College of Veterinary Sciences (CVS), Lahore was also a part of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. In 2002, the CVS was upgraded and the UVAS was established as first university of the country in the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences. With a motto "Provoking Potentials, Producing Professionals", UVAS has moved towards multi-level education and skills development institution by utilizing its knowledge, resources and skills for human resource development. The UVAS has emerged as a hub of professional advancement in wide ranging areas including veterinary & animal sciences, animal production & technology including biotechnology, microbiology, pharmaceutical sciences, food sciences, fisheries, wildlife, environmental sciences, biological sciences, zoology, botany, poultry science, dairy technology, animal nutrition, livestock production, economics & business management, etc. With over 370 faculty members including 200 Ph.Ds. University offers 16 undergraduate, 32 M.Phil. and 23 Ph.D  programs along with diploma courses and a number of need based short training and certificate courses for capacity building of the human resource in these fields.

The UVAS is among top 600 Asian Universities of the World as per QS and Times Higher Education Rankings. As a result of our efforts, UVAS was ranked among 101-200 Universities of the world as per THE University Impact Rankings, 2020. The UVAS is also taking care of international students and we warmly welcome International students to join our undergraduate and post graduate programs. For the year 2025. there are special fee packages for the international students belongings to different regions of the world. Students of many under developing countries have been admitted in the university with out any fee for international students. We welcome international students at our campuses, so that they may also contribute in uplift of the economy of their country after graduation.  Our unique offer for international students has opened new  doors for the students with financial limitations to continue their studies at our university.
