Admission Requirements

Applicants for doctoral programs must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport and in good mental and physical health. They should hold a master's degree (equivalent to a Chinese master's degree) and, if still completing their degree, provide a Pre-graduation Certificate to confirm they will finish by the specified deadline. Applicants should be under 45 years of age and meet language proficiency requirements, such as passing HSK Level 4 or higher for Chinese-instructed programs, or providing proof of English proficiency for English-instructed programs. Additionally, applicants must meet the general admission criteria for international students at USTC.
