  • A level: A*AA
  • Required subjects: To include at least two sciences from: Biology, Chemistry, either Mathematics or Further Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, Geology, Geography and Environmental Science/Studies. The specific combination of subjects required depends on your chosen stream - see Year One for full list of required subjects per stream. Minimum grade A is required in Mathematics or Further Mathematics to study a mathematics stream. A Pass is normally required in science practical tests, where these are assessed separately. GCSE English and maths at C/4.
  • Excluded subjects: General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies, Thinking Skills, Global Perspectives
  • IB score: 36 points overall or Higher Level Certificates 7,6,6. Alternatively, 34 points overall including Extended Essay A or Higher Level Certificates 6,6,6 plus A in the Extended Essay
  • IB requirements: IB Diploma: At least 2 of HL Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics, Psychology, Geography and Environmental Systems and Societies. HL5 minimum required except for HL Mathematics Analysis and Approaches – HL6 is required in this subject to study mathematics streams. IB Higher Level Certificates: HL6 in at least 2 of HL Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics, Psychology, Geography and Environmental Systems and Societies.
