Based in China’s thriving eastern seaboard, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) offers degrees taught in English and accredited by the UK’s University of Nottingham, with an international community of 6, 500 students representing over 70 nationalities.
University of Nottingham is ranked in the TOP 100 in the world in the 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings.
Once enrolled at UNNC, you will be given the opportunity to study at the University of Nottingham’s UK and Malaysia campuses, as well as with overseas partner universities.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) is home to students from over 70 countries and regions worldwide. We look at both academic and English language proficiency of applicants. Check HERE to find the entry requirements of your country. If your country is not listed, please email us at [email protected] .
If English isn't your first language, you will need to submit the relevant English language proficiency test report and meet the requirements. We accept IELTS, TOEFL (iBT), PTE and alternative equivalencies.
If you require additional support of the language requirement, please contact Student Recruitment and Admission Office at [email protected].
Please check HERE for the list of required application documents and procedure. Application to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China can be made before you have completed your study. You may use the transcripts till now to apply for and the university will be able to assess based on what’s available. If you haven’t finished your study yet, a conditional offer may be issued pending on your final grades/degree. Once ready, please submit your application on our Online Application System . Email or post applications are not accepted.
University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) PhD scholarships are only open to full-time PhD applicants who have a bachelor’s degree with first class honours or a master’s degree with Merit or above (average score no less than 65%) from a British university or its international equivalent. Applicants with a master’s degree also should hold a bachelor’s degree at upper second class or above level.
For some schools/departments that consider applicants holding a bachelor’s degree, an exceptional track record (i.e., first class honours or its international equivalent) obtained from one of the most prestigious universities is expected.
For 2023 September entry, the application deadline is by 31st May 2023. Any late applications, please first check the position availability with Student Recruitment and Admission Office at [email protected] .
For PGR application, y ou may consider either Spring or Autumn entry that better serves your study plan. However, you are strongly encouraged to consider September entry for when a majority of scholarships are open.
Please be noted that a few programmes are only open in September entry.
We offer entry-based scholarships to award exceptional degree programme applicants. You could submit your scholarship application on the same Online Application System . Check HERE for the scholarship list and more details.
Students are welcomed to apply various entry-based scholarships. Please note that the scholarships cannot be combined. For students who have been considered for two awards, the highest award will be granted by default.
Nottingham Global Full scholarship worthies 110,000 RMB per student, which is equivalent to 100% first year tuition fee.
