The future of HKU students is very promising. Our graduates are highly sought after by large multinational employers. As a testament to the calibre of our students and the quality of education at HKU, many of our students often receive 2 to 3 job offers even before graduation, ensuring a seamless transition into the professional world.
We provide a diverse array of resources to support high achievers in their pursuit of growth and breakthroughs via a variety of study and enrichment opportunities. Not only do we have scholarships that are on a merit basis to honour top scorers; but we also acknowledge students with non-academic achievements such as sports, music, community services, leadership skills, and commitments to society, etc.
Once you have successfully submitted an application for admission, you will be considered for an entrance scholarship automatically. The result of both admission and entrance scholarship will be announced at the same time. No separate application for entrance scholarship is required. Selection is based on academic merits with consideration of non-academic achievements.
The University will also consider students for special scholarships which might require separate application. You are advised to refer to the details of all the scholarships on our Fees and Scholarships page.
After you are admitted to the University, you may apply for other HKU scholarships. You may be awarded a merit-based scholarship based on your work in the University.
What factors are considered in the admissions decisions for HKU's undergraduate degree programmes?
