BA (Hons) Philosophy and English Literature

English Literature at the University of Hertfordshire is a vibrant subject area, with a dedicated, experienced group of staff. Students rate the teaching they receive very highly. In the National Student Survey 2015, 90% of students agreed that staff explained things clearly, 95% found the staff enthusiastic about their subject, and 90% found the course intellectually stimulating. Philosophy at the University of Hertfordshire is a thriving intellectual community with regular visiting speakers and an optional residential weekend. In the Research Excellence Framework 2014, Philosophy achieved 80 per cent world leading and internationally recognised impact for our research.
