UEA is an internationally renowned university, based on a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 15,000 students. We have consistently been rated as one of the best universities for student experience in the UK, and were recently voted as having the UK’s best campus environment (Times Higher Education 2016).
The campus is located in 320 acres of rolling parkland, just two miles from the centre of Norwich, England’s first UNESCO City of Literature. Our uniquely-placed University is also a leading member of Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's biggest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science.
Norwich is one of the most vibrant, historic and attractive cities in Europe, and is easily accessible by road, rail, bus, coach and air. Norwich International Airport offers direct flights to and from UK and international destinations, and London is less than 2 hours away by train.

In the latest Research Excellent Framework (REF) 2014, UEA came 10th in the UK for the quality of its research output and 21st overall out of all mainstream British institutions. The results show that more than 82% of UEA research is classified as either ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’, confirming UEA’s position as a premier research institution making a substantial impact on the global challenges facing society.
