The continuing education Master’s degree in “Pedagogy for the Disabled” qualifies students to be able to (help) shape the participation of people with disabilities in education and training processes. The aim of the course is also to enable students to recognize and break down barriers in general teaching and learning arrangements. The course includes, for example, dealing with national and international concepts and theories on education and training under difficult conditions and disabilities. In addition, various consulting models are examined and the existing standards are analyzed at the administrative and procedural level. In this way, the students should be able to plan and design concrete didactic and methodical interventions on the basis of a diagnosis.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the postgraduate master's program must meet the following requirements:
  • Successful completion of a teaching degree (Master of Education or state examination) with at least 240 CP or successful completion of the entrance examination for the Master's degree in Education for the Disabled
  • At least one year of professional experience in a field of work related to the education of disabled people or a successfully completed special education traineeship.
  • Instead of the completed degree, the professional qualification for the degree can also be proven by passing the entrance examination. Details on the requirements can be found in the statute on special admission requirements.
