The aims of this program in line with the Faculty include: analyzing and reviewing cultural values and transforming them for the development spirit of the nation; fostering and developing cultural sciences in supporting national education; AND producing academics and professional graduates in handling various cultural issues for the benefit of Indonesian Maritime Continent. Alongside with the mission of the University, graduates of this program are expected upon completing their studies to be able to: provide a quality learning environment to develop innovative and proactive learner capacities; preserving, developing, discovering, and creating science, technology, art, and culture; AND applying and disseminating science, technology, art, and culture for the benefit of the Indonesian Maritime Continent. Located in Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi in Indonesia, UNHAS has contributed to the development of Indonesia, especially in the eastern regions, and even to the global world, as the source of human resources with knowledge, skill, and wisdom.
