Sustainable Development and Global Health goals cannot be achieved by technological development alone.

We want to train a new generation of psychologists specialised in bridging the gap between science and society. Psychology and Social Sciences are crucial for behaviour change and acceptance of innovation in food and health sciences.

The following are the learning objectives of the degree in detail:

  • Detailed analysis of the contents and methods of the basic psychological disciplines, with a particular focus on their application to the field of food consumer behavior, lifestyle, and sustainability behavior.
  • The development of multidisciplinary competences, for example in the fields of nutrition, production, environment, economics and sociology.
  • Further development of the above competences, for instance planning and realizing research programmes centred on the behavioural analysis of individuals,, groups, communities and organizations related to food, health, and sustainability.
  • A distinctive feature of the degree is the integrated vision of psycho-social and contextual processes, that guide and determine the behavioural choices  of individuals and their communities under the One Health lens, with special reference to food consumption, health conduct, and behaviours favouring sustainability.
