The UNALM biologist is a professional who is concerned with understanding the behaviour of biological systems from the molecular to the ecosystem level, through their Biotechnology and Ecology orientations. They have the ability both to generate knowledge that promotes sustainable environmental management and to apply it in the different fields of biotechnology, working in multi-, inter- and trans-disciplinary teams. His solid scientific training combined with his socio-economic approach to biology, allows him to contribute to the development of the country, contributing to the conservation of ecosystems, biological resources and food sovereignty. His professional activities will be aimed at various sectors such as the environmental, industrial, agricultural, livestock, food, fisheries, mining, energy, health and governmental sectors.
