UVG's Bachelor of Architecture approaches design as a cross-disciplinary and interdepartmental discipline that demands a high sensitivity and awareness of personal style. In other words, it is vital to orient design to problem solving and, in that sense, it is intimate and very human to the end user. However, it is also vital to approach it from the perspective of the designer, who leaves a personal imprint on his or her work.
Thus, the degree program channels the essence and methods of design further than any other program in Guatemala. First, it allows professionals in training to develop their own artistic vision. Second, with the Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT), it introduces them to the best technological ecosystem in the country, with specialized laboratories for prototyping, model building and the materialization of ideas.
