Admission Requirements

To be admitted onto a University Master’s programme you need:

  1. If you are from a non-Spanish-speaking country, you must demonstrate competence in Spanish at the level equivalent to B2 of the European Common Reference Framework for Languages. No such requirement is necessary if the Master is taught in English.
  2. Mandatory health insurance. Any student not in possession of Spanish nationality, or of any EU member state, must contract the health insurance, during all the master study, offered by the University of Alcalá through its General Foundation.   3. You must meet the specific admission requirements for each master’s programme (given on the “Access and Admission” screen on each Masters’ web page).
  4. You must meet access requirements stipulated in current legislation, and which depend on the issuing country of your university qualification namely: 
  5. Holders of Spanish or European Higher Education Area (EHEA) degree: 
    • Official Spanish university degree title.
    • Degree title awarded by an EHEA higher education institution which gives right of access to a master’s degree programme in the country of issue.
    • If you are a technical or advanced engineering student and have passed all your subjects except for the final degree project, your matriculation in a master’s programme will be subject to that project’s being passed and the presentation of the corresponding degree title before 21 December 2018.

    Should you be unable to present your degree certifícate by the date stated, your matriculation will be cancelled. You should bear in mind your obligation to pay all the monthly instalments up to 31 December. The reservation of your place may be carried over to the following academic year.
