The fundamental competencies presented below are those that UNAPEC has established within the aforementioned curriculum. These were grouped based on the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum that is currently being exercised.
Ethics: To develop the permanent formation of the student, through ethical and moral values, to interact in diverse contexts with responsibility, respect, loyalty, fidelity, honesty, discretion and clear processes.
Creativity: Develop the ability to be proactive, through methods and alternatives that are sustainable over time, for the resolution of work, personal and professional conflicts in general.
Communication: Understand and produce discourses, through diverse communicative situations, in order to converse, listen, interrelate, express oneself, convince, persuade, argue, write texts, conventions and laws effectively.
Global vision: Implement general theories and procedures, through documents and communicative and social situations related to events of a globalized world, to develop a holistic vision of society and knowledge.
Second Language: Master English, through diverse learning methods and situations, to communicate ideas in multicultural contexts.
Professionalizing competence: Promote fundamental principles, through diverse questioning and weighting, to interact with professional competencies in social and work contexts.
Critical: Develop argumentation, through the analysis and interpretation of diverse events and facts, to resolve everyday situations in work and professional contexts in a meaningful way.
Research: Develop an inquiring attitude, through the search for information, to solve learning situations and problems related to social and professional environments.
Leadership: Develop leadership skills, through empowerment strategies, to lead groups and collective advocacy in work, social, and professional contexts.
Technology: Develop technological skills, through the use and management of technological resources, to integrate and use them in a meaningful way in social, work and professional contexts.

Application
For applicants who completed high school in the Dominican Republic:
• Complete the admission form available on the Admissions Portal. Access the form.
• Original Birth Certificate. (If from abroad, it must be legalized at the Dominican Consulate in the country of origin or apostilled, as applicable).
• Original High School Transcript.
• Original Secondary Education Certification issued by the Ministry of Education (MINERD).
• Official medical certification properly signed and stamped, valid for no more than three (3) months at the time of submission, by a licensed physician in the Dominican Republic.
• National ID card or Electoral Identification Card, or Passport (photocopy). (For foreigners, documentation demonstrating their immigrant status allowing them to study in the Dominican Republic is required). Expand documentation.
• 2 Passport-sized Photos (2x2).
• Pass the required entrance exams.
For applicants who completed high school abroad:
• Complete the admission form available on the Admissions Portal. Access the form.
• Original Birth Certificate. (If from abroad, legalized at the Dominican Consulate in the country of origin or apostilled, as applicable).
• Original High School Transcript, homologating the grades.
• Original Secondary Education Certification issued by the Ministry of Education (MINERD), homologating the degree. See instructions for homologation.
• Official medical certification properly signed and stamped, valid for no more than three (3) months at the time of submission, by a licensed physician in the Dominican Republic.
• National ID card or Electoral Identification Card, or Passport (photocopy). (For foreigners, documentation demonstrating their immigrant status allowing them to study in the Dominican Republic is required). Expand documentation.
