Master of Public Administration

The Tulane SoPA MPA curriculum focuses on teaching the foundational concepts of public administration as well as practical, contemporary innovations. You will develop knowledge and skills drawn from fields that include education leadership, data analytics, program evaluation, budgeting and finance, revenue and resource development, and public relations. By leveraging New Orleans as an exemplary model of community resilience and civic modernization in areas such as education, environmental management, public safety, and economic development, SoPA's MPA curriculum offers students the opportunity to examine new approaches to public administration while building on the strengths of its established frameworks. As part of the curriculum, the MPA offers a residency component to further solidify the degree content. Students visit New Orleans for experiential learning, collaboration, and networking with peers, program faculty and other individuals working in civic sector careers.
