In accordance with the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 1, 2009. On measures to further increase the efficiency of the use of high-tech television and radio equipment in the system of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.
Since 2011, the "Computer graphics and design" specialty department was founded in the "Television technologies" faculty in the 2011-2012 academic year.
According to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 28, 2013 "On Improvement of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies and its Structure" No. VMQ-188, due to changes in the structure of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies Since 2010, the name of the department has been recognized as "Audiovisual Technologies".
Throughout its history, the Department of "Audiovisual Technologies" - "Computer graphics and design", "Audio-video technologies", "Television technologies" ("Audiovisual technologies", "Telestudio systems and applications") undergraduate educational departments trained more than 700 bachelors and they are working in various branches of the national economy.
