About Sydney Film School

Sydney Film School (SFS) is acclaimed as one of the top film schools globally.

We are renowned for both our focus on storytelling and our teaching of practical filmmaking skills through our production house model.  We believe that the art of storytelling is the core fundamental in creating engaging work whether in film, television or online.

Our production house model produces several short films each year and delivers comprehensive hands-on training, which in turn means that our graduates are highly regarded for the quality of their work and their practical skills.

Sydney Film School offers a two year full-time program:

  • Diploma of Screen and Media (CUF51015)

(First year)

  • Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (CUF60615)

(Second year)

To provide best prospects of employment in the industry, we recommend undertaking the full two year program, however each course may be taken individually.
