The English Language Department is one of the most important departments across all faculties of the University. It offers a bachelor's degree to its students in all its branches, including translation and linguistics. The department also teaches English language subjects to all departments of the University in all faculties. It is almost the only department that has a presence in the city of Sabha with all its interests and educational institutions, providing assistance with translation and teaching English while solving problems.
The department also has a postgraduate program (Master's) in Applied Linguistics. It adopts an approved curriculum and takes into account the latest measurement standards in its teaching programs. The department keeps abreast of the latest teaching methods for the English language for all its levels, which were determined with the help of universities and the unified international reference in teaching foreign languages.
