Welcome to Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University! 

Our university has a long-standing and successful history over 120 years where a great deal of important discoveries and inventions have been made.  SPbPU has recently become the "National Research University" — a recognized Russian and international leader in the field of higher engineering and economic education with rich educational, scientific and innovation infrastructure. Headed by leading scientists, there were established new competence centers in the priority scientific areas. The first university level degree is the Bachelor’s degree. To qualify for a Bachelor’s degree program, applicants should complete senior secondary education. In some cases, applicants, who are willing to get undergraduate degrees in Russian, may need to do an extra preparatory year (University Foundation Program) due to certain special requirements for language and scientific or mathematical studies. 

SPbPU provides a wide range of Bachelor’s degree in 50 different fields of science:

• BSc in Russian

• International BSc in English

• Double Degree Programs

Duration of studies: 4 years.

Master's degree is a second-cycle academic degree. A Master's degree normally requires previous study at the bachelor's level, either as a separate degree or as part of an integrated course program. In some cases you may need to do an extra preparatory year due to certain special requirements for language and scientific studies. 

Duration of studies: 2 years. You may also apply for PhD degree in English.

Accomodation and location:

International students are provided with double accommodation in a comfortable student dormitory, which is 5-7 minutes walk to undeground stations. The university's campus is located in the north-west of the city, close to the city center.
