Amidst the construction of a new Renaissance in our nation, the emphasis on science, education, and youth development stands as a strategic imperative. Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies exemplifies this commitment, currently hosting approximately 9,500 students with over 300 dedicated teaching teams actively shaping the academic landscape. Our university is at the forefront of spiritual, educational, and scientific initiatives, driving innovation and fostering international collaboration.
Navoi State University of Mining and Technologies continually enhances its quality benchmarks through a national rating system aligned with international indicators. To foster effective education and scientific research, the university prioritizes global educational and scientific community trends, emphasizing collaboration with foreign universities. Over the past two years, 15 agreements were inked with international institutions, involving 30 professors from prestigious universities worldwide and facilitating academic exchanges for approximately 200 students.
Foreign language proficiency plays a crucial role in such initiatives, with 62 university professors holding language certificates. Fifteen percent of specialized subjects, totaling 67 courses, are now taught in English, engaging around 600 students.
In the realm of sustainable practices, the university has placed a notable emphasis on energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources. In 2023 alone, 335 solar panels, collectively generating 183 kW/h, were installed through university funds. The total capacity has since increased to 300 kW/h, effectively fulfilling the institution's daily electricity needs with "green energy." Innovative initiatives extend to the installation of solar panels in student accommodations and the creation of a groundbreaking device using solar energy to convert underground seepage water into clean drinking water.
The university's international engagement remains robust, with cooperation agreements established with over 60 universities worldwide. A notable collaboration with Spain's Polytechnic University of Madrid has been ongoing, marked by reciprocal visits, negotiations, and the exploration of prospects for a Polytechnic University of Madrid branch in Navoi.
The international activity of the university is a system of measures aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation with subjects of educational and scientific activity of foreign countries, as well as commercial organizations, in order to develop international academic cooperation in the field of education and science, and to strengthen established relations. The successful implementation of the university's international development strategy has become a guarantee of increasing its prestige in the world and taking a worthy place in the international ranking.

Navoi State University of Mining and Technology, recognized for its prestige, plays a crucial role in supplying qualified specialists to the economy and social sphere. Over the past three years, 2,659 graduates have emerged, finding employment in key enterprises like the Navoi Mining-Metallurgical Combine, Navoiyuran, Navoiyazot, and Navoi Thermal Power Plant. Foreign companies, such as "NEOFOS," actively recruit university graduates, contributing to the construction of a phosphorite ore processing plant in Zarafshan.
The university also supports professional educational institutions and academic lyceums under its umbrella, including Uchkuduk and Zarafshan hourly technical schools, Karmana and Ghazgon Polytechnic schools, and Academic Lyceum No. 2 in Navoi. More than 2,000 students engage annually in mining, energy, and other industries through these institutions. The university's commitment is reflected in providing educational materials and equipment worth 100 million soums in 2023-2024 and assigning professors and doctoral students to support these institutions methodically and scientifically.
