The Medical University of Warsaw offers 19 degree programs including 3 full-time degree programs in English: Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacy.

Medical University of Warsaw:

  • has an international dimension based on its international educational standards and the exchange of scientific thought among higher education and research institutions,
  • consistently focuses on the development of its own clinical and didactic base, which is confirmed by the flagship facilities established in recent years - the Pediatric Hospital, Sports and Rehabilitation Centre and the University Dentistry Centre - opened in October 2019.

The Medical University of Warsaw has managed to establish a recognized international position in research, both in clinical and theoretical medicine. The University has scientific research cooperation with many universities and research institutions in Europe, especially Germany, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Austria and Great Britain. At present this cooperation is also being developed with other foreign partners from Europe, USA and Asia – China, India, Malaysia and Japan. Research projects are conducted and developed in clinical medicine in: nephrology, transplantology, cardiology, hematology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, dermatology, neurology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, urology, surgery, orthopaedics, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics, venereology and dentistry, as well as in theoretical medicine (histology, immunology, anatomy, biology, pharmacology and physiology).

The scientific cooperation involves an exchange of researchers, as well as joint research projects and publications. Research at the Medical University of Warsaw is funded by the University’s own funds, grants from the Polish Committee for Scientific Research (approx. 150 projects annually), and by the European Union research funds (6th and 7th Framework Programmes).

The teaching hospitals with their teams of dedicated specialists and subspecialists provide the most specialized level of health care, carry out research and offer undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education programmes. As specialist tertiary referral centres, these hospitals administer health care in their numerous inpatient and outpatient departments.
