In a context of globalization of exchanges, the understanding of other cultures and other value systems is a major asset for any designer. The MDes International Design Strategy / Le Studio France encourages the exploration of French culture in an applied interdisciplinary context. This program offers a great opportunity to carry out design projects in a multicultural context. It allows a good integration and a better approach of the methodology as taught at school through design practices. Le Studio France welcomes students from various nationalities and design backgrounds. It encourages a cross-cultural approach to design and collaborations that will enhance the creativity of the students. The goal of this program is to prepare adaptable and well-rounded design professionals that can address a wide range of design projects in a fast-changing world. Students will learn how to manage a project from the definition of the design problem to the final presentation in front of a client, organize their work and their team efficiently, and thus hone their skills through inspiring design projects.

LÉcole de Design Nantes Atlantique offers their DN MADE programme (‘Diplôme National des Metiers d’Art et de Design’ or National Diploma in the Subject of Art and Design) for undergraduate study instead of the usual bachelor's degree. The full course takes three years to complete and is taught in French for the first two. English-speaking international students who have already studied two years of a degree in a related subject may choose to finish their studies at the school which offers the final year of teaching in English. Instead of industry-standard master’s degrees, LÉcole de Design Nantes Atlantique offers Diplôme de Design Bac+5 which is certified by the French Ministry of Higher Education. It includes a three-year undergraduate course as well as two years of postgraduate study, making the duration of the course five years in total.
