JCU's curriculum in International Affairs has traditional strengths in global justice, public policy, European institutions, religion and politics, peace and conflict resolution studies, human rights and global political theory. The degree includes both skill-based and theory-driven courses and its scope of formation is broadly interdisciplinary: students take sequences of courses from international history, economics and political science. Reflecting its home in Rome, the curriculum is inserted in a unique international and multicultural context with special exposure to a thick hub of international institutions, organizations and diplomats, all propelled forward by a city that boasts to be the capital of both a political state (Italy) and a transnational religious faith (the Catholic Church), in addition, of course, to its immense, unparalleled political and cultural historical legacy.
