The Bachelor's degree programmes admit high / secondary school graduates on the basis of the local HKDSE exam attainment, as well as international qualifications such as IB, GCE A-Level / International A-Level, Canada High School Diploma, and equivalent qualifications from other countries.

Local students are admitted through the JUPAS clearing system, and international students apply directly to the University (through the online portal). Applicants from Mainland China are admitted on the basis of Gaokao (National College Entrance Examination) results.

Bachelor's degrees with Honours are 4 year programmes (with the exception of Nursing degrees which are for 5 years).  There are over 50 programmes offered by the 5 schools: Arts & Social Sciences, Business & Administration, Education & Languages, Nursing & Health Sciences, and Science & Technology.
