This course is specifically intended for individuals / professionals with programming skills and combine it with statistical knowledge to create insights from data. This programme has collaboration with IBM, that gives you exactly the breadth and depth which requires to be an expert in the field of data analysis, data visualization and Data Scientist.

BTech Data Science and Engineering is an undergraduate degree programme in the field of engineering, the course duration is four-year which is divided into eight semesters. The BTech Data Science and Engineering course provides knowledge on the process of cleansing, collecting, and modifying data in order to perform complex analyses of data.

The B.Tech program in Data Science & Engineering trains engineering graduates to be skilled Data Scientists. The emphasis is on core data science subjects along with the related computational mathematics, statistics, and computer science subjects. 

Data Science is a unique multidisciplinary confluence of Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Statistics and Management. Data engineering involves data collection methods, designing enterprise data storage and retrieval.  The core data science subjects focus on data analytics, visualization, predictive modeling and analytics for data-driven decision making.  Knowledge representation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning will be taught with relevant case studies.  The students can study industry-specific, custom-designed program electives on blockchain technologies, quantum computing, data forensics, data privacy, algorithmic trading, and data security.  Students can also opt for a minor specialization in either business, finance or healthcare analytics.


The course targets placements and internships in top data science companies like CapGemini, Cartesian Consulting, Oracle, Publicis Sapient, Wipro Ltd,   and in domains such as finance, business, economics, and healthcare. The Institution has also tied up with foreign universities and promotes a semester abroad. On completion of three years of the B.Tech course, students can opt for an integrated Master’s program in a partner university abroad.

BTech Data Science Engineering course deals with the study of the gathering of information from an enormous amount of data present in an organisation’s depository. Students who want to pursue BTech Data Science and Engineering should pass 10+2 in the  science  stream with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and  Computer Science.

Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory courses and any one course from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship. Obtained at least 50% marks in the above 2 compulsories and any one selected (from list of 12) subjects taken together. OR Passed min. 3 years Engineering Diploma examination with at least 50% marks
