The Master of Music program at EUC offers two specializations which aim to create the proper conditions for students to develop the highest level and standards so as to contribute to the contemporary artistic environment. Students are prepared for effective, successful and diverse artistic engagement as performers and composers, endowed with knowledge, attitudes and skills that will enable them to be active leaders in the musical and cultural life of their community. Students will enhance and excel their performance and creative compositional skills, widening their opportunity for professional careers in ensembles, cultural organizations, administration of music studios and involvement in cultural and creative projects.

SPECIFIC ADMISSION CRITERIA:

    • Α Bachelor’s degree in Music for all three concentrations.
    • For the Music Education concentration, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in areas other than Music may also be accepted if they are able to demonstrate a substantial portfolio and other qualifications in
    • For the Composition concentration, candidates should additionally submit a portfolio of works.
    • For the Performance concentration, an audition is required.
    • Candidates will be invited to an interview/audition if/when the Department deems necessary.
    • The Department might ask applicants for additional documents/criteria and adopt additional admission requirements/criteria if necessary.

    GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:

    1. A completed application form together with a non-refundable fee of €52. Applicants may also apply online here.
    2. Official copy of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in English (or official copies of professional qualifications)
    3. Official copy of academic transcript, in English
    4. Official copy of High School Leaving Certificate and grade marksheet in English
    5. Proof of English language proficiency (if any)

    7. Proof of work experience (if applicable)

    EUC is located in Nicosia, Cyprus’ capital and largest city. The university is situated near the center of political, economic and cultural activity in the country. EUC has recently expanded and opened a new campus, consists of modern facilities, well-equipped laboratories, amphitheatre lecture halls, student apartments and entertainment venues.

    EUC’s Center for Applied Research was established in 1991 as an independent, non-governmental institution, providing market research, training, and consultancy services to public and private sector clients. The Center also emphasizes the importance of accurate, ethical data collection, sharing the findings of CAR projects as widely as possible.
