Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in physical science or engineering. All applicants must have sufficient prior knowledge in mathematics (at least 16 EC, including probability and statistics), physics, and programming at a level equivalent to an undergraduate engineering or science degree. A more detailed list of expected competencies is listed here.
In addition, it is recommended to have prior knowledge of Earth sciences. We offer the online course Geoscience: the Earth and its Resources for applicants without this knowledge.
Programming will be in Python, applicants lacking these computer programming skills are advised and/or may be requested to follow an online course before the start of the programme. Completion of the online course is the responsibility of the applicant.
