University information

The admissions process at Ashland University is generally similar for all applicants, with some variations depending on the type of applicant and the level of study. The typical applicants are:-

  • High school students pursuing college credit
  • First-time freshman
  • Transfer students
  • Graduate students
  • Military-connected students
  • Online undergraduate applicants
  • International students
Regardless of the program or applicant type, the first step is to complete the application for admission.

For undergraduate admissions, applicants need to first complete a free application and submit official high school transcripts, along with any additional test scores requested, such as ACT, CLT or SAT scores. After being admitted to the university, students must apply separately for federal student aid, secure their spot with an enrollment deposit, complete enrollment forms and attend orientation.

Postgraduate applicants follow a similar process, but the transcripts they have to submit must be from undergraduate study. Transfer students have additional requirements such as submitting official college transcripts and paying an enrollment deposit.

When an international applicant is submitting the application form, they must pay a non-refundable fee of $50 USD, and submit any required documents. It’s also wise to note that AU graduate programs typically do not require GRE or GMAT scores from international applicants. Admission decisions for international applicants take approximately 10-14 business days, and accepted students will then be required to submit their passport and financial support documents.
Following this, they will have to pay an enrollment deposit which is refundable only in cases of visa denial before classes start. Students can request additional information regarding admissions from the university.
