It’s important to note that tuition fees vary, depending on your program. Head to your chosen course webpage to find the most accurate and up-to-date information on fees and funding.  

Example fees for 2024/25 To give you an idea of what to expect, here’s a quick look at the costs for the Master of Quantitative Finance for 2024/25.

  • Student Services Fee: $418 per quarter, adding up to $1,254 annually.
  • Per Unit Tuition: $1,537 per unit for the Fall 2024 cohort. Remember, the MQF program requires 52 units.
  • Recreation Fees: $100 for RIMAC and $22 for Canyonview each quarter.
  • Graduate Student Association Fee: $20.69 per quarter.
  • Mandatory Health Insurance: $1,881 per quarter.
  • CAPS/Student Mental Health Fee: $37.14 per quarter.
  • Rady Activity Fee: $50 per quarter.
  • Document Fee: A one-time $100 fee for new students.
Scholarships
Discover the range of funding opportunities, from scholarships to assistantships, that can support your educational journey.
  • Scholarships: All admitted students, domestic and international, are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships – no extra application required. If you're a University of California graduate, you’ll qualify for the $10,000 USD Rady-funded UC Scholarship. Additional donor-supported fellowships are also available.
  • Loans: US students should apply for Federal Stafford Loans first for favorable rates and terms. International students can explore private loans, but some lenders may ask for a US co-signer. Check the UC Preferred Lender List for more details.
  • Student Contribution Appeal: If your financial situation has changed significantly since last year, you can submit a contribution appeal form for reassessment.
  • Assistantships: Looking for on-campus work? Rady offers a limited number of teaching assistant (TA) positions each quarter, open exclusively to graduate students.
