The curriculum at Amity comply to the standards and practices of global institutions, including a diverse choice of several credit courses that facilitate cross-functional learning. Amity inculcates in its system the best of practices, theories, resources and standards from the very best of global education. This includes:
i) A Programme Structure that is dynamic as well as semester-based and that always remains up to date to suit the current industry requirements by integrating the traditional syllabus with global trends across disciplines.
ii) A multi-stage process of evaluation and appraisal consisting of a bi-annual review by the domain specific Expert Committee, the Board of Studies and the Academic Council.
iii) Evaluation and accomplishment of course-objectives, devised basis feedback reports on placements, employability of students, developments in technology, and statutory compliance of various Government / Standard laying agencies.
Amity University review the detailed course curriculum of all the programmes at regular intervals as per the industry requisites. This evaluation system consists of several important points such as feedback reports on the placements, employability of the graduating students, latest developments in the technology, statutory compliances of various bodies etc. The course syllabus is first examined and evaluated by an expert committee which sends the same to the Board of Studies of the institution for review. Finally, the modified syllabus is shared along with the recommendations to the University Academic Council for approval.
Every student in Amity University must mandatorily achieve 100% attendance in all the Lectures, Tutorials, Practical and Seminars arranged for the relevant course during the semester. However, a moderation up to a maximum of 25% is granted in case of eventualities. A minimum of 75% attendance is obligatory to appear in the examinations. 100% attendance criteria inspire academic excellence, better disciplines and overall growth of the student.
Amity University follows a Semester System which is in accordance to globally benchmarked practices and standards. The duration of the Course curriculum of one year is broken down into two semesters i.e.,17-18 weeks each. This system encourages superior interaction between faculty members and students and results, remove also results in creation of more meaningful term paper and research assignments.
