About KARSHI ENGINEERING-ECONOMICS INSTITUTE

Karshi engineering-economics institute was established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 1995. Currently, the institute has 6 faculties (Economics, Engineering technology, Geology and Mining, Oil and gas, Energetics, Engineering technics), 31 educational departments, the department of science and scientific-pedagogical staff, the center of “Professional Development”, the center of “Gifted Students”, 1 academic lyceum, 1 specialized school and 2 technical schools.

Today, 12020 bachelor students including (8297 (full time), 3723 (correspondence/part time)) in 35 directions, 341 12020 bachelor students including (8297 (full time), 3723 (correspondence/part time)) in 35 directions, 341   master degree students in 19 specialties, 32 PhD students are  trained in the institute. There are 604  teachers, from which 23 are Doctor of sciences and professors, 134 are PhD and candidates of science. 

International relations are well organized and “The department of international cooperation” is in act. Currently, scientists of the institute are working with more than 25 foreign countries’ (such as Germany, China, Italy, Southern Korea, Netherlands, Poland, USA, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Austria, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan) higher educational institutions based on mutual scientific-applied co-operative contracts. Our several students studied at the foreign higher educational institutions of the countries such as Italy, England, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania. More than 100 of our teaching staff members have improved their qualifications in foreign universities.
