The goal of the program is to cultivate highly qualified specialists equipped with the knowledge and competencies relevant to the requirements and standards of the European educational space and contemporary labor market, in order to successfully occupy decision-making, executive, analytical and diplomatic positions; to develop students’ holistic and multidisciplinary thinking, as well as "soft" or "hard" skills, which are important for analyzing, preventing, responding to, or managing the complex and multifaceted problems of the international system.
Program aims to facilitate the development of civic responsibility among the students, recognition of universal and European values, and moral and ethical norms that are necessary for a decent professional activity in the field of international relations.
Program entails 240 credits consisting of courses in the major field, as well as courses oriented on developing general, transferable skills.
Program prepares professions for the policy-making, executive, analytical and diplomatic positions in public, private or non-governmental sector.
In the public sector, international relations specialists are mostly employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or at the international relations departments of any other ministry or state agency, as well as in intergovernmental regional and international organizations, in any of their agencies and institutions. In the private sector, international relations specialists can be found in transnational corporations and other companies with a strong international profile, including educational and research establishments.
In the non-governmental sector, international relations specialists are mainly employed by local, regional or international non-governmental organizations and analytical centers/think-tanks.

The eligibility criteria for the admission to the bachelor’s program in international relations are defined as follows: an entrant must be in possession of a document certifying the completion of full general education or its equivalent and should obtain the right to study at European University based on the ranking coefficients of scores received at the Unified National Exams. To be enrolled in the program, a person is obliged to pass the following subjects at the Unified National Exams: a) Georgian Language and Literature – an entrant must pass the minimum competency threshold set by the law; b) English Language - minimum competency level 51%; c) one of the following subjects - History / Mathematics / Civic Education / Geography - the entrant must pass the minimum competency threshold set by the law. The number of places allocated to each subject should not be less than 10% of all the available places. The exact percentage distribution is determined by the Head of the program before announcing the call.
The right to enroll in the international relations program without passing the Unified National Exams: persons who are authorized to be enrolled at the University without passing the Unified National Exams based on the Order №224/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (December 29, 2011) “On the Approval of the Procedure for Submission and Review of Documents by Entrants/Master’s Degree Candidates/Students who have the Right to Study Without Passing the Unified National Exams/Common Master’s Exams in a Higher Education Institution”. Above-mentioned applicants are required to confirm their Georgian language proficiency at B2 level, in accordance with the “Rule for Determining the Language Competence of the Student of the European University”. The following persons can also be enrolled in the program: students enrolled in accordance with the mobility rules based on the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia №10/N (February 4, 2010) - “Rules for Transfer from the Higher Education Institution to Other Higher Education Institution and Approval of Fees”.
