University IBN KHALDOUN of Tiaret

The University of Tiaret was created in 1980, first as a University Center. In 1984, the latter was dividedinto two National Institutes of Higher Education (INES), namely the «Civil Engineering» and the «Agro-veterinary» Institutes. In 1992, the INES of Tiaret was once again converted into a University Centre.During the year 2001, the C.U.T. was erected as a "University" in its own right (Executive Decree No.01-271 of 30 Joumada Ethania 1422, corresponding to 18 September 2001 establishing the Universityof Tiaret). The present Ibn Khaldoun University of Tiaret has undergone considerable developmentsince its creation in 1980; it has grown from a staff of 40 national students supervised by 18 teachers atits opening to a staff of 33 000 national students , 168 foreign students, and 1017 teachers in 2021-2022. Currently IBN KHALDOUN University Tiaret has 27301 students enrolled  and 1131 teachers .
